Montezuma-Cortez’s Hailey Veach — normally the Lady Panthers’ second baseman — was the winning pitcher in Game 2 of the team’s Aug. 29 doubleheader against Aspen. In two innings, she allowed one hit, walked six Lady Skiers, struck out three and surrendered five runs.
