Conrad Ira "Coke" Halls was born April 16, 1947, in Farmington, N.M., the son of Ralph and Betty Zane (Hatch) Halls. He passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Durango, Colo. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at age 66.
On July 21, 1973 in Mancos, Coke married Debra Laurel Fitzgerald. They shared 40 years of marriage before her death in 2012. Coke was an Elks Club member. Hiking in the desert, traveling and spending time in the mountains watching wild game brought Coke much enjoyment. Though time spent with his family is what he enjoyed the most.
Surviving Coke are his daughter, Connie I. Halls of El Paso, Tex.; his son, Shawn C. Halls of Sarasota, Fla.; and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Betty Halls; his wife, Debi Halls; and his sister, Judy R. Becker.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Health Foundation, 1010 Three Springs Blvd., Durango, Colo. 81301.
