Staffing issues, undecided parents push first day back to Aug. 24
Montezuma-Cortez School District Re-1 announced Friday that it will postpone the start of the 2020-21 school year to Aug. 24 for in-person classes and Aug. 26 for online classes because of problems with allocation of teachers for the online program. Parents also need to enroll their students in either an in-person or online learning option before the start of the year.
