With election time for the county commission getting close and our country’s state of affairs, the need for effective governance systems has never been greater, with local officials being required to make decisions having significant political, social and economic consequences.
Appointed officials often find themselves in hopelessly frustrating bureaucratic situations, strangled by red tape and thwarted by poorly designed public processes. But Danny Wilkins’ organizational sensitivity, assertiveness (although quietly), objectivity, managerial experience, collaborativeness and communication skills give him the ability to provide an integrated package of programs and services matching our rural community’s needs, all the while managing the funds to pay for them, and face the pressures of eliminating some popular programs because local funds are insufficient to support them.
With this skill set, Danny will be able to face all the demands of being an elected official with dignity and honor.
