Chamber of Commerce discusses programs for the coming months
A host of subjects were covered in a meeting Tuesday morning of the executive board of the Dolores Chamber of Commerce with plans being started for the year's promotional efforts including renaming of Ridiculous Days to "Dolores Frontier Days," which will be on Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16 this year.
Numerous events will be held during the two days, and a gala carnival atmosphere will prevail.
Chamber President Marc Brincivalli noted that the Escalante Expedition in 1775 came through this place, and the Chamber will have a program of commemorating the 200th anniversary of the first white men in the area along with efforts to secure a historical location sign. The committee will be composed of David Sanford, chairman, and Jack Kinkade and Larry Pleasant.
