Governments, businesses left hanging late Friday
Local health officials are worried some businesses may open when they are not allowed because of mixed messaging this week from the state about reopening the economy.

Local health officials are worried some businesses may open when they are not allowed because of mixed messaging this week from the state about reopening the economy.
Safety requirements

San Juan Basin Pubic Health said nonessential retail businesses offering curbside pickup starting Monday must comply with all of these safety requirements:
Employees and customers must maintain 6-foot distancing at all times.Employers must provide employees with gloves and face coverings for use during customer interactions, including delivery and returns, and whenever possible during other work activities.Employees must take frequent breaks to wash their hands.Employees must stay home when showing any symptoms or signs of sickness.Employers must conduct daily temperature checks and monitor symptoms in their employees, logging all results.Employers must increase the frequency of their cleaning practices, including frequent sanitization of high-touch areas.In addition, real estate professionals may conduct showings (but not open houses) beginning Monday. Showings must comply with social distancing requirements, including 6-foot spacing between participants
Nonessential retail businesses that cannot comply with the above requirements may not begin curbside pickup or home delivery Monday and must wait until they meet the requirements before opening.
Nonessential retail businesses that open for in-store shopping or services or use curbside pickup or home delivery without complying with the above safety requirements, are subject to enforcement.
Personal service businesses, including salons, spas, personal trainers, pet groomers and gymnasiums, are not permitted to open Monday. Any of those businesses that open Monday will be breaking the law and will be subject to enforcement. SJBPH continues to await safety requirements and opening dates for these businesses from the state of Colorado.
SJBPH will provide more information after receiving and reviewing additional safer-at-home orders and guidance from the state of Colorado.
