In Tuesday’s paper (April 7), it was announced that the Community Emergency Relief Fund based with the Community Foundation Serving Southwest Colorado gave out grants to nonprofits on the front lines serving the most vulnerable populations.
What was not mentioned, was that Onward! A Legacy Foundation matched all the grants provided to nonprofits in Montezuma and Dolores counties!
The Montezuma County Emergency Relief Fund raised $16,500 in one day to match the grants provided by CERF.
