The Denkai Animal Sanctuary has started a fundraiser to help cover operating costs for animal care after its thrift store was forced to temporarily close because of state restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Adoption Center and Thrift Store at 209 W. Main St. in Cortez, is the main revenue source for the Denkai Animal Sanctuary. The sanctuary is struggling because the thrift store was forced to temporarily close under Colorado orders shutting down businesses in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
