Editor:
I believe that each and every one of the constitutional rights was put in to protect all citizens of this country — that includes the Second Amendment. You can pass all the laws you can put on paper, but the fact is the people that commit the crimes will still have guns and knives and any other means to do what they do.
In the instance of some of these school shootings, I think if the parents would have the skill that parents of the pre-1970s had, you wouldn’t have the problems like we have today. It is amazing what a belt will do for a attitude.
