Southwest Walk-In Care, operated by Southwest Health System, recently reoccupied its location at 1413 N. Mildred Road after a burst pipe forced them to relocate Nov. 8.
Extensive repairs, clean up and structural safety checks were completed before moving back in.
SWIC is the only medical walk-in facility in Montezuma County, and in order to ensure patients did not experience an interruption in care, the clinic continued to operate at the main Medical Office Building for the seven weeks when repairs were underway.
The building, owned by Montezuma County Hospital District and leased to SHS, has been cleared by a structural engineer and all repairs are complete.
SHS offers care to the community, especially important during the flu season.
SWIC operates from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
