Law enforcement cadets graduate PCC in Cortez

Several moving on to serve in local agencies
The honor guard presents the colors at the Pueblo Community College Law Enforcement Academy graduation on Saturday.
Family and friends filled the auditorium at Montezuma-Cortez High School to see cadets graduate.
Program director Doug Parker served in law enforcement for over three decades in both Montezuma County and in the Denver metro area.
There were 16 cadets in the academy, which began in August and last for 18 weeks.
Through the program, students practiced and learned a wide range of skills and disciplines, from driving to fitness to law.
Durango Police Chief Robert Brammer was the keynote speaker for the ceremony.
Jennifer Goodall was a fitness instructor with the academy, jokingly dubbed the “queen of pain” by her students.
Student speaker and class Sgt. Travis Aronoff is presented with his pin.
Trinity Taylor said that she enjoyed “every minute” of the academy.
