Town trustees last week appointed two new planning commissioners and awarded its last citizen recognition honor for the year.
Trustees voted unanimously Wednesday, Oct. 23, to appoint a Mancos High School arts teacher to fill a vacant post on the town's Planning and Zoning Commission. Colleen Brennan was tapped to fill the regular voting post.
In related news, trustees also voted to appoint Regina Roberts as an alternate on the Planning and Zoning commission.
And for the final time this year, citing the upcoming winter season, trustees were unanimous in its decision to bestow its monthly Citizen Recognition Award to 415 N. Walnut.
The honor includes a $25 prize.
Trustees gave honorable mentions for best lawns to the entire 400 block of N. Beech and 431 Angel Way.
