A new Mancos Toastmasters group, invites prospective members to its first meetings at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, and at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Mancos Public Library.
Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills.
Club sponsor, Darrel Ellis, received the forms to start a chapter of Toastmasters International here in Mancos. The library will pay the startup fee. Ellis was in Toastmasters for two years in Albuquerque. Ellis said Toastmasters was "educational and very helpful" in his work as an Air Force officer.
Anyone interested in participating in the new chapter is highly encouraged to attend one or both of the first two informational meetings. If you have any questions please contact Darrel Ellis at (970) 533-7372 or Shaine Gans at the Mancos Public Library at 533-7600 or [email protected].
