5:01 p.m.: A man reported that a woman stole his Jeep from a residence in the 25600 block of County Road F, but a deputy determined that the man had agreed to trade the Jeep to the woman.
11:17 p.m.: A man reported that after a nap in a residence in the 24200 block of County Road E.5, he awoke to find a note reading, “Sorry I took your car,” and that his car was missing. A deputy reported the car as stolen.
6:50 p.m.: A woman was arrested at a residence in the 23700 block of County Road F.5 on suspicion of using meth and amphetamines.

10:20 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant after turning himself in at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.
Thursday, Oct. 27
1:48 p.m.: The Cortez Cemetery, 27441 U.S. Highway 16, reported that a sprinkler pump switch had been vandalized.

Friday, Oct. 28
11 a.m.: A man was notified that his car, which he’d left in the 23700 block of County Road 7, had been towed.
12:35 p.m.: A woman who lives in the 12700 block of Colorado 145 reported that someone had removed $305.24 from her credit car without her authorization.
1:08 p.m.: A deputy found a motorcycle that had been pushed from its location at a property in the 6700 block of County Road 24.2 through a fence. Damage to the fence was estimated at $300.
Saturday, Oct. 29
2:44 a.m.: A driver was arrested on two warrants after he was pulled over in the 13000 block of Colorado 145 for appearing to be driving “at a high rate of speed.” He wasn’t warned or cited for speeding, according to the deputy’s report.
3:47 a.m.: A man reported that a juvenile had thrown a beer bottle at his Jeep, breaking his rear window, at the end of a party in the House Creek area of Dolores.
7:46 p.m.: A man was cited for an uncontrolled dog after his Labrador retriever allegedly jumped a fence and attacked a neighbor’s pit bull.
Sunday, Oct. 30
12:42 a.m.: A woman was cited for driving 100 mph in a 65 mph zone in the 17000 block of U.S. 491.
10:53 a.m.: A man reported the theft of a chain saw with a replacement value of $500, from a horse trailer parked in a field at County Roads 19 and AA.
3 p.m.: A deputy determined that a woman’s report that an acquaintance had removed items worth $1,000 from her car on Oct. 23 was unfounded, based on notes from a Cortez police officer who was present at the time.
