Each year, Empire Electric Association offers $1,000 educational scholarships for high school seniors planning to go to college, $1,000 for students pursuing a vocational/technical certificate as a lineman or $500 for another electrical trade. Six scholarships are available for adults who are pursuing further education. Applicants must be EEA members, a spouse or a dependent of a member.
Scholarship applications are available online at www.eea.coop and at EEA headquarters, 801 N. Broadway. Students also may pick up applications from school guidance counselor’s offices.
Applications for student and adult scholarships must be received by Feb. 17.
