T. H. Akin and E. H. Golden left the first of the week for Chicago where they expect to attend some sort of a fair going on there. They will be gone about three weeks, and it is reported that Mr. Akin will bring home a new Chrysler car.

Deer season opens next Thursday and continues until Sunday night. Local nimrods are preparing to spend this time in the nearby hills where deer are said to be unusually numerous.
