CSU Extension will offer master gardener classes beginning Jan. 23, 2020. The Colorado Master Gardener Program is a 12-week course. The class information will be focused toward the non-commercial home gardener. The training includes: lawn, plant, tree, and vegetable care, soils and fertilizers, water and weed management, insects and diseases of plants, and pruning. Classes are taught by CSU Extension campus-based and county-based faculty.
Class periods are six hours per day, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The program will begin Jan. 23, 2020, and will continue every Thursday through April 9.
This program is for Montezuma County residents.
Deadline for applications is Friday, Dec. 20. Some classes will be held in Durango. Transportation will be provided. Enrollment deadline is Dec. 28.
