Here in our conservative corner of Colorado, PILT funds (payments in lieu of taxes) are a frequent topic of discussion.
Clearly, the right thing to do is to allow these funds to expire. After all, what is the source of these funds?
Federal tax monies, funded by the printing of endless U.S. debt dollars. True conservatives will not accept this.
What say our pseudo-conservative commissioners and their ardent supporters?
Do they have any real principles, or are they, like the progressives, only interested in grabbing dollars from “the others?”
