Onlookers lined Main Street Friday afternoon to watch young athletes, musicians, and local businesses process their way to the annual Montezuma-Cortez High School Homecoming football game at Panther Stadium.
The parade began at City Market about 4 p.m., and wound its way down Main Street to arrive at Panthers Stadium by about 4:30 p.m. Participants included sports teams of all ages, clubs and marching bands.
The parade was followed by a pep rally at the Montezuma-Cortez Middle School from 4:30-6:30 p.m., followed by the Homecoming game against Alamosa High School, which kicked off at 7 p.m.
Alamosa won the game, 56-0.
