The Farmington Police Department officers will participate in the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign throughout September, including sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols beginning Labor Day weekend.
Across the United States, 376 people were killed in crashes – 36% of them involving a drunken driver – during Labor Day weekend.
“As always, FPD wants to remind citizens to drink responsibly and always use a designated driver,” the police department said Wednesday in a news release.
