Rancher seeks small slaughterhouse south of Mancos
David Mominee is seeking approval from Montezuma County to open a small slaughterhouse to process about 10 head a week south of Mancos.
Daniel Mominee’s proposed meat-processing plant would be on his 654-acre ranch on County Road 39 several miles south of Mancos. Eleven building-enclosed holding pens would be attached to the slaughterhouse in a 60-by-60-foot facility on a parcel of about 13 acres.
