Local educator and Dolores resident Nyibol Bior will tell her refugee story at 7 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Dolores Public Library.
When she was just a child, Bior’s world was turned upside down when her country of Sudan descended into civil war. She and her family were forced to leave their home and walk over 1,000 miles in search of safety.
Eventually, their path brought them to the United States where Bior received a second chance to live the life she had dreamed. Find out more about her inspiring story and how she keeps a positive outlook despite all she has overcome in life.
Bior is also writing her first children’s book, “My Beautiful Colors.”
