I recently saw a quote from Twila Brase, president of the Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom – She had this question: “If government-controlled health care systems – in other countries and the U.S. – result in poor quality, huge deficits and less access to care, why would anyone want more of the same?”
Canada and Finland are good examples of high taxation based in part on socialized medicine. My sister lives in Spain. She says the socialized medical system is working so badly, people are buying private insurance.
I would rather choose my doctors and not pay a high price for insurance and have a high deductible. Many people will never benefit from having insurance except in a catastrophe!
