A westbound insulation company truck overturned Thursday on U.S. Highway 160 after being passed by another vehicle.
The driver and passenger of the truck were unharmed.
“We’re more shaken than anything,” said the driver Michael Shinskey, a foreman with May Insulation Inc.
A little after 10 a.m., the truck was westbound along U.S. Highway 160 between Cortez and Mesa Verde National Park, Shinskey said. He noticed a vehicle driving closely behind him, around mile marker 44. It then passed him.
After passing the truck, though, the car braked, and Shinskey swerved off the road tipped onto its side. The car then drove off, he said.
Shinskey and passenger Troy Klah climbed out the truck and were evaluated by emergency medical services responders.
