Caregiver Connections will host a “Caregivers Toolbox” lunch and learn session to help caregivers of elders from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Cortez Senior Center and Montezuma County Annex Room, 107 N. Chestnut St.
The event will include:
Resource Fair: Peruse more than 40 agencies, businesses and facilities assisting with elder care.
Skills Workshop: Learn about safety for elders from area therapy professionals.
Health Screening: Blood pressure consultations with a pharmacist and sleep assessments are offered.
Caregivers Film Festival: Past educational sessions filmed and inspiring caregiver stories are offered.
The event is free. Light finger foods and ice cream sundaes will be provided. Sign up by calling 564-2772 or 677-2787.
