The River Church in Durango installed 140 solar panels on its roof to cut electricity costs. The idea came from a pastor at the church hoping to bring community members together.
River Church has partnered with a local solar energy nonprofit to cut the church’s cost of installing a solar panel system. Casey Worthington, an engineering intern with Solar Barn Raising, works to install panels Thursday morning.
