Secretary Griswold is considering amendments to Colorado’s Rules Concerning Elections.
The amendments are intended to improve the administration and enforcement of Colorado election law and to increase transparency and security in the election process.
The public is invited to share thoughts and recommendations as a preliminary draft of the proposed rules is developed in anticipation of a formal notice of permanent rulemaking issued in accordance with the Colorado Administrative Procedure Act.

The primary goals of the proposed rulemaking are to eliminate obsolete provisions and simplify the language of existing rules and to ensure proper administration of legislation recently passed by the Colorado General Assembly, including:
House Bill 19-1266 concerning the voting rights of people serving a sentence of parole, and in connection therewith, making an appropriation.HB19-1278 concerning modifications to miscellaneous provisions of the “Uniform Election Code of 1992,” and in connection therewith, making an appropriation.Senate Bill 19-202 concerning ballot access for voters with disabilities, and in connection therewith, making an appropriationSubmit comments by email to [email protected] by 5 p.m. June 24.
