The U.S. Marshals Service apprehended a fugitive in Texas on felony charges originating out of Montezuma County.
According to reports, a Montezuma County sheriff detective developed information that led federal authorities to Victoro Cervarrubias Mendoza in Kerrville, Texas. The capture was made June 7.
Reports indicate Mendoza is a 48-year-old Hispanic male wanted on felony charges stemming from a March 2008 incident. Reports say the original charges involve kidnapping, assault and trespassing.
Mendoza has a $100,000 bond out of Montezuma County and a Federal I.C.E. hold, according to reports.
The U.S. Marshals Service arrests an average of about 337 fugitives daily.
