Empire Electric Association shareholders should not miss this opportunity in the current board member election.
Ballots have been mailed to us to select 3 EEA board members. Three of our candidates have professional experience that would be invaluable as our communities face the energy challenges of expense, availability and air quality.
One candidate, Greg Barker, is a licensed electrical engineer who has consulted nationally for major public electrical utilities. Greg’s vast national experience can be condensed to the specific needs of our local communities for cost containment, price negotiations and optimizing future technologies. We cannot miss the chance of having Greg Barker’s insights contribute to the Empire Electric Association Board.
Carolyn Dunmire is a 30-year veteran of the energy industry. Future economic success of the Empire Electric Association depends on careful balancing of currently available energy sources and the expanding renewable options. Carolyn Dunmire can help EEA find that balance.
Eric Lindgren’s career as a research engineer for Sandia National Laboratories has required expertise in science, technology and funding. Empire Electric needs his insights in balancing costs of current electricity sources with future renewable options. What is cheap now may be very expensive in the future as new technologies become available in renewables and storage. A critical assessment of these alternatives is essential.
These three candidates, Greg Barker, Carolyn Dunmire and Eric Lindgren, can strongly represent us and the EEA to bring about less costly, more efficient, and cleaner energy for our future.
