On May 8, a Nightingale luncheon was held at the Cortez Conference Center to honor SWCAHEC’s Award Nominees to thank them for their excellence in nursing. Julia Hanson of Pueblo Community College received this year’s $1,000 scholarship award.
The Nightingale nominees are Amanda Gilliland, Kathleen McInnis and Emily McGough, and the Star Award nominee was Stacy Wacker.
Julia Hanson was awarded the Pueblo Community College Scholarship.
On Saturday, the nominees attended the Nightingale Luminary Awards Gala in Lone Tree, Colorado, to be a part of the celebration for Colorado’s highest nursing honor.
