Kelly Hall, of Cortez, caught this 8- to 10-pound pike in Narraguinnep Reservoir in March casting from the shore. “I thought I hooked a log at first,” she says. The fish was safely released back into the lake. While the pike was not a record-setter, Hall holds two world records for trout she recently caught at Groundhog Reservoir. Her next mission is to travel to Bluewater Lake, New Mexico, to try and catch a record-breaking tiger muskie, a cross between a pike and a muskie.
