Montezuma School to Farm will present the sixth annual Spring Hoedown from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on April 27, at the Mancos Opera House, 136 Grand Ave. Get your dancing boots on and get ready to attend for live music, line dancing, delicious local food and silent live auctions. Get creative with your western wear this year for the costume contest, and you could be crowned king or queen of the hoedown. There will be an anonymous judge among the crowd, and the winner will be announced during the silent auction. This is a family-friendly event. All proceeds go to Montezuma School to Farm Project.
Live music will be provided by Six Dollar String Band from 6 to 8 p.m. and The Afrobeatniks from 8:45 to 11 p.m. Food and drinks will be provided by 4 Dope Gringos, with local beer and wines. The live auction will start at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and free for people ages 17 and under. Tickets are available at www.montezumaschooltofarm.org/events.
