During the first two years of his reign, while Republicans held the White House and both houses of Congress, what happened?

Now we hear that there is a genuine crisis at the border, with our enforcement agencies claiming they are being overwhelmed, and undocumented immigrants indiscriminately being released into the cities of our border communities.
