City of Durango planning for strong second season at Lake Nighthorse

Visitation projected to double
Avan Anderson, 13, reels in a trout Saturday at Lake Nighthorse southwest of Durango. Avan, son of Jim and Dew Anderson, marked his birthday at the lake during a kids-only fishing event.
Not as many people turned out for opening day of Lake Nighthorse on Saturday as they did last year, but the enthusiasm was no less to catch fish. Sunday morning visitors to the lake braved snow and cold for fish.
