Beth Wheeler, master calligrapher, had her opening reception on Friday, April 12 at the Town Gallery in the Visitor Center. This is a "must see" exhibit featuring her calligraphy. But, who knew that her talents extended into photography and watercolor too?
The Visitor Center is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, on Wednesday, May 1, the Visitor Center hours will expand to 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday and open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those of you unable to come in the middle of the week might be able to stop by and see the exhibit on a Saturday.
As the Chamber of Commerce moves into April, it is planning for another "Mancos Cash Mob" event. he next "Cash Mob" is set for Thursday, April 25 at Chavolo's Restaurant on Railroad Avenue.
A "Mancos Cash Mob" is a fun way for people to swamp a small, local business with a lot of business activity in one day. Folks spend their money, en masse, and give that business owner a rush of economic stimulus. You will see old friends, meet new friends, enjoy some refreshments and maybe enjoy a meal at Chavolo's. Mark it on your calendar - Chavolo's, Thursday, April 25, 5:30 p.m. until we get tired of one another.
