6:02 p.m.: A woman at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a failure to appear warrant.
Wednesday, Feb. 6
5:46 p.m.: A man was arrested on a failure to appear warrant at a residence on the 14000 block of County Road 27.
8:33 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a contempt of court warrant at a residence on the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160.
Thursday, Feb. 7
11:54 a.m.: A man at a residence on the 17000 block of County Road 27 was arrested on a warrant for felony motor vehicle theft and misdemeanor theft.
3:33 p.m.: A man was arrested for felony criminal mischief for allegedly breaking into About Face Aesthetics, 10964 County Road 26, and breaking several vials of Botox. The store owners reported about $10,000 in damages.
4:16 p.m.: A man at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a failure to comply warrant.
4:19 p.m.: A man at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a failure to appear warrant.
7:58 p.m.: A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI at Phil’s World, near the 30100 block of U.S. Highway 160. The woman said she drank a six-pack about two hours ago. As a deputy escorted her to a patrol vehicle, she pulled away and slipped and fell in the mud. She also attempted to spit in the deputy’s face as he fastened her seat belt.
Friday, Feb. 8
8:16 a.m.: A man on the 24000 block of County Road G.2 left his vehicle in a parking lot overnight after running out of fuel. He returned the next morning and put gas in the vehicle, but started driving without clearing the frost off his windshield. He hit a decorative rock as he attempted to exit the parking lot, causing damage to his vehicle. The vehicle was towed.
7:22 p.m.: A man and woman engaged in a physical disturbance on the 10000 block of County Road 35. It is not clear if any charges were filed.
2:16 p.m.: A man reportedly threatened an Open Sky Wilderness Therapy employee at the Cox Conoco Station, 445 U.S. Highway 491 in Dove Creek. The man said Open Sky is screwing up his hunting and he is going to cut the valves on their cars. Sheriff Steve Nowlin followed up with the man, who informed the sheriff that he was only kidding. A report was made as there had been damage to an Open Sky vehicle in Dolores County in 2018.
Sunday, Feb. 10
1:37 p.m.: A man was arrested on a charge of third-degree assault for allegedly punching a skier in the face on the 14000 block of County Road 40 near Mancos. The skier said a black Lab leaped and nipped him in the arm. The skier then swung his ski pole toward the dog, at which point the dog’s owner “came out of nowhere” and punched the skier in the face. The skier said he wanted to press charges.
Monday, Feb. 11
11:27 p.m.: A man was arrested for violating a restraining order on the 800 block of Central Avenue in Dolores. While en route to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., the man was verbally abusive to a deputy, calling him a pig and using vulgar language, and continued to verbally abuse detention staff.
12:44 p.m.: A man in custody at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a failure to appear warrant.
6:13 p.m.: A man in the bonding area at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a failure to appear warrant.
