DENVER – Investigators are looking for help from the public as they try to find at least three men they believe were involved in the killing of a 17-year-old Colorado girl over a year ago.
They plan to hold a community meeting in Bailey Tuesday night about the December 2017 killing of Maggie Long. They also plan to put up billboards in the Denver and Colorado Springs areas advertising a website with information about the case.
The efforts were announced Monday by new Park County Sheriff Tom McGraw. Long’s body was found in her family’s home near Bailey. McGraw said Long was “purposely set on fire and burned alive.”
Authorities released sketches of the three suspects but say they may have changed their appearances since the killing.
