This week marks the first Saturday of the month, which means it’s time for Teen Cafe at the Mancos Public Library.
Each month, the cafe takes on a different theme, determined by library staff and the young people themselves, ranging from animation to a Mad Hatter Day to a Fortnite gaming night, according to Jenni Kitchen with the Mancos Public Library.
This week will be “Graphic Novels and Anime with Food, Film, and Games from Japan.” Teens – ages 13 to 19 – are invited to stop by from 7-10 p.m. at the library, at 211 E. First St. Attendees will watch the feature film “A Letter to Momo” and the documentary “Manga Mad: Comics and Anime in Japan,” eat rice dishes and drink some honey ginger milk and tea. There also will be Japanese-based games on hand to play, including Tokaido and Sushi Go Party.
