Thanks to the Susan Hardwood training grant, Southwest Colorado Community College will offer a Safety Seven for Healthcare class free to area businesses.

The one-day course will cover safe patient handling and ergonomics, infectious disease, walking and working surfaces, emergency evacuation plans, hazard communication standard, personal protective equipment, and workplace violence. The class will be from 8 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Mancos Campus, 33057 U.S. Highway 160.
