Payless ShoeSource store in Durango, 1135 South Camino del Rio, will close at the end of the month, said Lauren Jeffords, senior director of communications with the discount shoe chain.

Jeffords said she did not have any details to provide about why the chain was closing the store, which is in Durango Towne Center near Walmart.

In an email, she stated the store was closing “as part of our normal course of business.”
