La Plata Boys & Girls Club sends support to first responders
La Plata County Sheriff’s Office deputy Tiana Anderson and Celia Gallavan, 10, work together making paper cranes Nov. 28 at Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County to show their support for Northern California communities and first responders affected by the recent fires with a collaborative empathy-based project.
Students with the Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County worked with La Plata County Sheriff’s Office and club staff to make an origami paper crane display for the first responders in the Camp Fire in Northern California.
