Wednesday, Nov. 14
9:22 a.m.: A man was served a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, at 867 N. Park St., and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
9:23 a.m.: A man reported that the passenger side door of his 2004 Ford Expedition was open when he woke up, on the 600 block of Wyoming St. He said nothing was taken, but he wanted a police report. There were no suspects or leads.
3:04 p.m.: A driver was pulled over on the 1800 block of E. Seventh St. for speeding. He was then arrested on an active Cortez municipal warrant and for driving without a license.
Thursday, Nov. 15
7:45 p.m.: A man was arrested on the 300 block of N. Madison St. for lying in the street while intoxicated.
9:14 p.m.: A man was arrested for possession of meth outside of Walmart, at 1835 E. Main St. He was already trespassed from Walmart, had three active warrants and a protection order stating he could not consume alcohol or drugs. Officers detained the man, and he reportedly resisted arrest. He kicked a shopping cart that broke a door at Walmart, causing damage estimated between $500 and $800.
Friday, Nov. 16
3:52 p.m.: An officer observed a man he recognized riding a skateboard down the 700 block of E. Montezuma Ave. The officer checked if the man had any active warrants. He did and was arrested.
4:33 p.m.: A woman was arrested for drunken driving on the 400 block of N. Roger Smith Ave. She admitted to drinking all day, which violated a protection order. She had three previous DUI convictions and is also being charged with driving without a license and driving without insurance.
6:00 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a suspicious man on the 100 block of W. North St. The officer approached the man, found marijuana in his pocket and then learned that he had an municipal bond condition stating he can not possess marijuana. He was transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
6:01 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at the Ocean Pearl restaurant, at 300 E. Main St.
6:24 p.m.: A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, at 730 E. Driscoll St.
Saturday, Nov. 17
12:33 a.m.: A homeless man was arrested for trespassing for sleeping in an employee’s car in the City Market parking lot, at 508 E. Main St.
Sunday, Nov. 18
2:14 a.m.: A man driving a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM was arrested for DUI alcohol after failing to use a turn signal near Angel’s End Zone Sports Bar, 309 N. Broadway.
9:38 a.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant on the 500 block of N. Mildred Road.
4:40 p.m.: A man was issued a summons for trespassing at City Market, at 508 E. Main St. He was standing in the produce area with a basket containing an open bag of chips and some vegetables. He was previously trespassed from City Market. He signed the summons and then left the store.
5:21 p.m.: The same man who was trespassed from City Market, 508 E. Main St., at 4:40 p.m. returned to the store less than an hour later and was issued another summons for trespass and was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
6:15 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Centennial Park, at 800 E. Montezuma Ave.
