Herald Staff Report
Ska Brewing Co. is bumping up their Steel Toe Milk Stout by aging it in bourbon barrels and blending it with local cold-brewed coffee to create Bumpier & Grindier Imperial Coffee Cream Stout, available in 500 ml bombers for one day only.
Bumpier & Grindier was aged in American Oak Bourbon Barrels from Peach Street Distillers and then blended with roasts of Desert Sun Roasters’ cold-brewed coffee. This is the second installation in Ska’s Barrel-Aged Beers program, following the its Whiskey Sour release earlier this year.
Bumpier & Grindier will be available in 500 milliliter bottles Friday at Ska’s World Headquarters at 225 Girard St. Guests can reserve their bottles for an exclusive beer and food pairing that will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. featuring limited edition Ska beers and an opportunity to meet the brewers and ask questions. $12.99 reserves a bottle at the table. For reservations, email [email protected] or call 247-5792.
