Cortez City Hall opens call for local artwork

Each piece will be displayed for sale for a month
“Below Sunshine and Wilson Peaks” by Jan Heyl at left hangs next to “Aquaessence” by Barbara Grist at left in the chambers of City Hall. New artworks are scheduled to be shown on a monthly basis in the Mesa Verde conference room inside City hall.
The Mesa Verde room, shown here, is just inside the front entrance to City Hall and is used frequently as a meeting space. It will be the location of an 18-month exhibition organized by the Cortez Public Arts Advisory Committee.
