Mountain Paws Rescue Center will host its first annual Spooky Paws Howl-O-Ween walk at Parque de Vida on Saturday, Oct. 27.
The fundraiser is at 425 Roger Smith Ave. from 2-4 p.m.
Mountain Paws Rescue Center is a new no-kill, nonprofit charitable organization in Mancos that focuses on rescuing and rehabilitating abused and abandoned pit bulls, Jessica Steiner said in a news release.
A grand opening ins tentative planned for March.
“Spooky Paws Howl-O-Ween Walk will be our first annual fundraiser event,” Steiner said. “Donations will be greatly appreciated and put toward the rescue’s new training and rehabilitation center.”
Organizers plan an owner/pet costume contest, food, drinks and games. Prizes and giveaways also are planned for people and pets.
“Bring the whole family to dress up and participate in all the fun,” Steiner said.
