Montezuma County has at least two basic political groups – conservative/old guard and liberal/pragmatic. It seems to me that we need county commissioners that reflect both groups.
Let’s assume for a moment that there are more of the former group than the latter; therefore one might feel pretty good about two commissioners who subscribe to the conservative ideology. That means that we need a third commissioner who reflects the other large group of citizens.
That’s why I’m voting for MB McAfee – not because she’s a Democrat and not because she’s a woman, but because she reflects the other ideology that I feel needs to be represented to solve problems in our county and move us all forward.
Please vote like your rights depend on it no matter which direction you lean.
