A previous letter (Sept. 20) stated the city was using funny numbers and that “80 percent of the people objected to the Main Street medians.”
Where did that number come from?
In July 2017, there were 8,709 people living in Cortez, of which 6,620 were eligible to vote. So, 5,296 objected to the medians? How was that number derived by the letter writer?
Funny numbers indeed.
