7:25 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the alley behind the Cork and Bottle liquor store, 443 E. Main St., for possessing an open container of alcohol. She was cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital because of intoxication, then jailed.
Sunday, Sept. 16
1:11 a.m.: A man was treated at Southwest Memorial Hospital for wounds suffered in a fight near Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. The suspect was not found.
10:40 a.m.: A woman reported that someone slashed a tire on her vehicle, parked at a residence in the 1000 block of S. Chestnut St.
10:03 p.m.: A northbound vehicle collided with a westbound vehicle at the Y intersection of S. Broadway and W. Main St.
Monday, Sept. 17
2:26 a.m.: A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
4:05 a.m.: A driver was arrested on a warrant in the 1900 block of E. Main St. He was later charged with possessing heroin, a Schedule 2 narcotic.
7:24 p.m.: A man allegedly stole a pair of Van’s sneakers from Bealls Department Store, 2216 E. Main St.
8:52 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted second-degree assault after allegedly throwing a punch at a doctor in the Southwest Memorial Emergency room. A hospital security officer restrained the man, who was not a patient.
8:38 p.m.: After a tip, an officer pulled over a driver in the 2800 block of E. Main St. and cited him with displaying fictitious license plates, driving without insurance and driving with a suspended license.
10:13 p.m.: A man was pulled over in the 300 block of S. Broadway and cited with driving without a license, registration and insurance.
Tuesday, Sept. 18
8:56 a.m.: A woman reported that a shipment containing $127 in silverware had been stolen at her residence in the 400 block of S. Cedar St.
10:17 a.m.: A man was cited for trespassing at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St.
11:14 a.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant after she was seen entering Wendy’s restaurant, 221 E. Main St.
11:40 a.m.: An intoxicated woman was arrested on a warrant at a restroom in City Park, 802 E. Main St.
