Cortez police officers and rescue personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of North Pinon Drive and North Linden Street about 8:45 a.m. The accident was minor, said Cortez Fire Department Chief Jay Balfour, and there were no injuries. Police officers at the scene said the crash was under investigation. A Southwest Health System ambulance also responded, and police officers diverted traffic away from North Pinon for 15 minutes as emergency medical crews assessed both drivers for injuries, and to allow time for the vehicles to be moved off the road.
