The community is invited to view an outdoor live nativity featuring real animals that is ongoing through Sunday, Dec. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. On Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24, the nativity will be from 5 to 7 p.m. The address is 1700 E. Empire St. Visitors are welcome to come and mingle at the scene to honor the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. There will be a sheep, donkey and people. Victory World Outreach Church
Victory World Outreach Church will present two performances only of "The Christmas Shoes" - A dramatic Christmas musical - on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 23, at 10:30 a.m. The play portrays a story of hope, compassion and supernatural circumstances with an uplifting tale of two families. Trinity Lutheran Church will have a candlelight Service on Christmas Eve at 7 p.m. Christmas Day service begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning. The church is located at 208 N. Dolores Rd in Cortez. All are invited to attend.
St. Barnabas Episcopal Church
St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 110 W. North St., Cortez, will have Christmas Carol Singing on Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24, at 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., join us for a traditional festive Christmas Eucharist. Childcare will be available. A Christmas Eve celebration will be observed at St. Phillip Church at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 24. The service will include a procession, lighting of the Advent candles, the singing of carols, reading of Scripture, a short message and Holy Eucharist. St. Philip is located at the corner of S.
